Shake away the winter blues with these First Friday Activities!
The last First Friday event of the winter season kicks off from 5-9 p.m., this Friday, March 1, and the merchants of Downtown York are looking forward to springing ahead. Come enjoy events and promotions that will help you welcome the season of warmer weather and beautiful blossoms. Here are five things you don’t want to miss:
1.) Prepare for Spring with My Girlfriend’s Wardrobe
Let the ladies of My Girlfriend’s Wardrobe help you prepare for spring with some new pieces for the warmer weather. Check out its great selection of jewelry that will pair perfectly with springtime attire. Even more spring arrivals will be coming soon!
2.) Live Entertainment and The Elks Lodge #213
Come enjoy live music at the Elks Lodge #213! The Lodge welcomes back MAXWELL PROJECT, playing R&B Funk from 7-11 p.m. The doors open at 5 p.m., and the kitchen will remain open from 5-9 p.m. Cover charge is $10 for members, and $15 for guests.
3.) Extended First Friday Celebration at Collusion Tap Works
Collusion Tap Works likes to kick off its First Friday Celebration a little early, by offering a lunch special between 12-2 p.m. Enjoy a $3 select pint with the purchase of any sandwich! Stick around for dinner to try a new item from its expanded kitchen’s upgraded menu. The brews are flowing from 12 p.m.-12 a.m!
4.) Rosa Luz at The Watchmaker’s Daughter
Spring is springing at The Watchmaker’s Daughter during First Friday March. The shop is excited to welcome featured local artist, Rosa Luz. Her art will be displayed throughout the store. The Watchmaker’s Daughter is also featuring a lot of new inventory, and is offering a contest. Each First Friday Purchase will be entered to win a prize. Stop in for your chance to win!
5.) Adding Spice to Your First Friday
Check out King’s Courtyard Artists’ Collective to add some spice to your First Friday from 5-9 p.m, with locally prepared Latin food, music, art, crafts and poetry! Visit the gallery in the #RoyalSquareArtsDistrict to connect with featured artists including new members, Armand Meyer and Christine Noll.
