A Fashionable First Friday September

5 Things to do this month

Get ready for an evening full of fashion, entertainment, food and much more at this month’s First Friday celebration, taking place from 5-9 p.m. this Friday. As designers, stylists and models from around the world prep for New York Fashion Week, boutiques of Downtown York are also working hard to get ready for their week-long fashion extravaganza. First Friday September kicks off York City Boutique Week. Along with #YCBW, there are a lot of exciting things happening this month. Check out five things you don’t want to miss during First Friday September:

1.)    Kick Off York City Boutique Week

York City Boutique Week is an annual event highlighting Downtown York’s independently owned retailers. Back for its eighth year, the participating retailers are ready to showcase their style with in-store events, trunk shows, demonstrations, pop-up shops and a fashion show to conclude the week on Saturday, September 14. With First Friday being the start date for the event, you better believe there will be a lot of exciting things happening, including a kid’s activity where they use their imagination to create one-of-a-kind garments that will be showcased during the fashion show!
