Over 50 years ago, artist Donald Judd created a manifesto-like essay titled “Specific Objects”. This essay described a new vision for American art and transformed Donald Judd’s work. “Specific Objects” inspired a new breed of American artists, and now The Parliament Arts Organization is asking a group of chosen artists to also be inspired. This group will be familiarizing themselves with the essay and generating their own, unique interpretation of “Specific Objects”. Featured artists: Rita Whitney, Katrina Funk and Dillon Samuelson.”
