EVERYONE is invited to attend First Friday in Downtown York, presented by WellSpan Health!

First Friday is a celebration of Downtown shops, restaurants, cultural venues, and nightlife hotspots. From 5:00PM - 9:00PM, downtown shops and restaurants host special events, offer refreshments & promotions, and sponsor live entertainment. 

Who’s out on Beaver Street?
- Join York College Center for Community Engagement and Tech Tinker - a small group of elementary/middle school kids who get together with students from York College's engineering program to explore various technology-based toys! They'll be showing off what they do, and will have more info about joining the group!
- Check out Pressley Ridge's booth for more info on their services, and find more info on becoming a foster parent!
- Stop by Members 1st Federal Credit Union’s booth, they’ll be giving out credit union information, and fun prizes!
- Stop by the Downtown York, PA table to get some useful information regarding the city!
- Not One More - York Chapter will be giving out information and talking with event attendees
- Creative York will be outside of their Beaver Street location, with a pottery wheel demonstration! Messy, mesmerizing fun!
- Check out OrangeMite Studios - an educational Shakespeare performance company from Dover! They will be promoting their upcoming 2017 season, and their Youth summer camp!
TAFE will be out on Beaver Street with an activity and will be distributing information about Summer Camps, Summer Musical The Fantastics, and TAFE Night of Talent (A talent show for All Ages)! Stop by and say hi!
Edible Arrangements will be set up with samples, and a raffle to win free arrangements!

Elks Lodge #213 - York, PA (223 North George Street)
JASPR, a popular 5 member Classic Rock band, is back at the York Elks for June’s First Friday from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. $10 cover/Elks members $5. All proceeds go to the “All Vets to DC” trip to Arlington National Cemetery in November. There will also be a demonstration by Veterans Service Canines Inc. PTSD/TBI service dogs. We will present the Veteran Service Canines a check for $2500 from our ENF Gratitude Grant. Ring the buzzer at the front door to be admitted. Kitchen is open from 5-9 pm for dinner and appetizers!

A Dad’s and Dudes Feature Sandwich at a special price. On the fly’s version of a cheese steak hoagie. Sliced top round beef, fresh sliced American and pepper jack cheeses, 1000 island dressing and sliced tomatoes and red onions, all stuffed in our Large sized French bread and baked in our ovens. Live music by Cindy David and Art Watcher starting at 6:00PM

Creative York (10 North Beaver Street)
Come visit Creative York to see our brand new exhibit "Chasing Paper" and create your own 3-D rolled paper sculpture, join our Literary Arts Coach to make a card for Dad or share a story for our story wall celebrating Dads and Dudes and the people that love them, and watch a pottery wheel demonstration out in front of out gallery! The Project Space will also be open with an exciting new exhibit by Ellen Ehlenbeck.

Revolt Style Studio (24 North Beaver Street)
WE'RE TURNING 1 YEAR OLD! (kinda.) We've been traveling around to area events (+ more) for over 2 years now, but we're celebrating a special milestone on June 2nd! 

Our shop on Beaver St. opened June First Friday of last year, so this June First Friday we'll be celebrating our 1st birthday on Beaver St in true first birthday style, complete with birthday cake, balloons & party hats. We'll be open all day (10:00AM - 9:00PM), but the party starts @ 5:00PM! And guess what. You're all invited!

Creative York West (118 West Philadelphia Street)
Opening Reception for "H.O.P.E. - Hold On Pain Ends," a special art showcase by River Rock Day Treatment Program. Unlike many high schools and some alternative schools, River Rock does not have an Art or Music department to offer the students. Artwork submitted for the art show was created during their personal/down time from classwork alongside their guidance counselor and peers. Their self-title of “H.O.P.E. – Hold On Pain Ends” was decided through discussion on how art has assisted each of them in building resiliency skills, not only at school but at home and in their community. Their artworks will be accompanied by individual artist statements that guide viewers through their personal creative processes’ and strengths. They will have light refreshments at the opening, as well as some of the artists’ themselves!

Things are buzzing at HIVE with the Opening Reception for our annual Great Big Bug Show!
