First Friday in Downtown York PA

EVERYONE is invited to attend First Friday in Downtown York, presented by WellSpan Health!

First Friday is a celebration of Downtown shops, restaurants, cultural venues, and nightlife hotspots. From 5:00PM - 9:00PM, downtown shops and restaurants host special events, offer refreshments & promotions, and sponsor live entertainment. 

Who’s out on Beaver Street?
- Check out the WellSpan Health table to learn about home safety and the “hot topics” of safe sleep, safe use of medications, and how not to be fooled by look-alike products that can cause accidental poisoning. 
- Stop by Animal Rescue, Inc.’s table to hear more about their for-life animal sanctuary, and say hi to their special guest from the shelter!
- Stop by Members 1st Federal Credit Union’s booth, they’ll be giving out credit union information, and fun prizes! 
- Stop by the Downtown York, PA table to get some useful information regarding the city!
- Not One More - York Chapter will be giving out information and talking with event attendees.
- Check out Bath Fitter, who will be displaying their acrylic tubs and showers. Sign up for a free in home consultation with one of their designs consultants!
- The York Couny CVB/Downtown Visitor Information Center will be out on Beaver Street with plenty of visitor information and more!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of York & Adams Counties will be out on Beaver street with more info about the organization and a fun kids' craft!
Edible Arrangements will be set up with chocolate covered fruit samples, and a raffle to win 2 free arrangements!

- Catch the "Salsa Bug" and check out two salsa performances by West York Area Middle School's performance group!

CapFilm FREE First Friday Family Film presents The Jungle Book (1967 version). The film is rated G and will be shown in Capitol Theatre, there is no cost for admission. The showing of this film is sponsored by OSS Health.

The York County History Center will hold a Pop-Up Exhibit at Marketview Arts, 25 West Philadelphia Street. The exhibit is titled, Local Ink: the art and artifacts of Ray Miller, York tattoo artist of the 1930s and 1940s. On display will be his tools, his flashes, and photographs of his studio and his work.

Pop by Creative York to make colorful firework paintings with paper and found objects! Also see the two current exhibits: "Chasing Paper" a group exhibit in the Kerlin Gallery, and "Alternative Facets" an interactive installation by Ellen Ehlenbeck in The Project Space.
