Announcing the inaugural Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival, Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 11am to 4pm at the historic Market and Penn Farmers Market. This day-long event will benefit York City’s oldest indoor farmers market. The Market is comprised of small, independently-owned businesses which carry on the rich tradition of city markets.
Promoting the popularity of bacon, the festival will appeal to all ages. Opening with a Blessing of the Bacon, the Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival will feature kids’ events and learning activities plus contests for adults. Ever wanted to kiss a pig? Think you can call a pig? Want to nominate your friends to be chosen as the Bacon King and Queen? The Bacon Festival will have it all.
Over 1,000 people are anticipated at this inaugural event which was conceived as a means to further initiatives such as a learning center for inner city children to gain first-hand knowledge about where their food comes and the start-up of an indoor growing garden. The Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival will be fun and engaging for all. We invite you to join the fun!
Pigs on Penn is currently seeking both sponsors and vendors.
