Go Green in the City returns Saturday, April 20, for an 11th year celebrating green, healthy and local living. This year’s event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, April 20, in Downtown York, in the block between North Beaver Street, North Pershing Avenue, West Clarke Avenue and the surrounding areas. The interactive street fair typically features more than 50 vendors, live music, food, children's activities and much more. #GoGreenYork

Festival Lineup

Save the date for the 11th Annual Go Green in the City event. Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, this fun family-friendly festival celebrates green, healthy and local living.


Join us in Downtown York, PA, in the blocks between North Beaver Street, North Pershing Avenue, West Clarke Avenue and the surrounding areas. The interactive street fair will include 50+ vendors, live music, food, art, children's activities and much more.

Pennsylvania WoodMobile

Check out the Pennsylvania WoodMobile, a traveling exhibit that provides information on the state’s forest resource and forest industry products. You can see how products are made during demonstrations and experience how common and unusual forest products are used in our lives every day.

Kids’ Zone, featuring activities from the York YMCA

Throughout the day, take a walk down to Pershing Avenue to visit the YMCA of York for some family fun! Enjoy activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, kids boot camp, jump rope and sidewalk chart art. While you are there, visit the information table to learn more about the organization and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

York County History Center

While you are in town for Go Green, check out the York County History Center’s Colonial Complex for tours of the General Horatio Gates House and Golden Plough Tavern. Throughout the tours, the guides will discuss the different ways early settlers reused or recycles common materials such as ashes and fabric. The tour is available to anyone and suggests a donation of $1 per person. The Colonial Courthouse will be open as well, free of charge. Also, the Mason Dixon Unity of the Herb Society of America will be at the Colonial Complex with to offer information about their organization and the importance of gardening.

Enjoy live entertainment from various bands and even a magician from the stage in the White Rose parking lot!
