Boutique Week is Back in York City

York, PA (September 1)--Back for its fourth year, York City Boutique Week, presented by Members1st Federal Credit Union and organized by Downtown Inc, is a week-long event to highlight downtown York's small and independently owned home and apparel retailers and eateries. Running from September 1-5, the week includes special events like a fashion luncheon, Wednesday night BROtique Night for Men, Thursday Night Maker’s Night, in-store events, trunk shows, demonstrations, pop-up shops, and culminating in the Boutique Week Fashion Show on Saturday, September 5 in the Capitol Theatre.

Shops participating in York City Boutique Week and the Fashion Show include Arthur & Daughter’s, Elizabeth & West, Indigo Bleu, Sweet Melissa’s Dream, Kimman’s, Redeux, 56, Ironic, Market Haberdashery, Watchmaker’s Daughter, My Girlfriend’s Wardrobe, Cherie Anne Designs, Sunrise Soap Company and Junior League of York.

York City Boutique Week will kick off with a sold-out Fashion Luncheon at Tutoni’s, located at 108 N. George Street on Tuesday, September 1. Attendees will meet designers and boutique owners and learn about upcoming fashion trends while dining among Central PA’s most fashionable.

On Tuesday, September 1, from 4:30-6:30pm, will host a Boutique Week Happy Hour at White Rose Bar & Grill. The event is free but pre-registration is required:

York City retailers will be open until 7pm each night during York City Boutique Week. On Wednesday, September 2, enjoy BROtique Night / Men’s Night at various boutiques. Beaver Street will be shut down and filled with food trucks and men’s pop-up vendors and 10 downtown locations will host New Belgium Brewing Beer Sampling, courtesy of The Beer Ace.

Thursday, September 3 is Maker’s Night. Participate in DIY demonstrations and activities at participating boutiques and “Meet the Maker” at shops. Shops will feature specialty cocktails that evening until 7pm.

In addition to a week’s worth of special events and demonstrations, York City Boutique Week will be punctuated by a fashion show on Saturday, September 5 at the Capitol Theatre. The fashion show features fashion and accessories available from participating York City Boutique Week retailers. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and are available at

Downtown eateries are participating in Boutique Week as well, offering Boutique Week exclusives all week long. Eateries include Bair’s Fried Chicken, Baron Von Schwein, The Green Bean Roasting Company, Just Cupcakes, Tutoni’s, White Rose Bar & Grill and York City Pretzel Company.
