Downtown Inc is proud to announce that Timothy Miller has been promoted to Deputy Director of the organization.
As Deputy Director, Miller will oversee comprehensive improvements to the Central Business District physical environment, including the Downtown Inc Clean-Up Crew, floral plantings, holiday décor, the installation of street amenities such as public art and banners, working with property owners and developers to enhance facades and public areas, implementing the objectives of the Downtown Inc Public Safety committee and enhancing all downtown public spaces including the Heritage Rail Trail, parks and Codorus Creek. Additionally, Miller will support the organization’s Executive Director in integrating the efforts of the organization with community partners and mission-similar entities, organizational strategy and community positioning.
Previously, Miller served as Project Administrator at Downtown Inc, overseeing the projects and programs relating to the Moving Plans into Action initiative. Moving Plans into Action is a collaborative approach to achieving long-held community goals in the heart of York’s downtown.
Prior to the arrival of the Moving Plans into Action initiative at Downtown Inc, Miller provided support to the initiative for three years as a specialist in community information and coordination at the York College Center for Community Engagement and later as an independent contractor. He has also provided support to the YorkCounts initiative of the York County Community Foundation, acting as a consultant to the YorkCounts Indicators Committee and producing all data and research used in the YorkCounts 2012 Indicators Report, a collection of York County quality-of-life measurements which are used to inform community decision-making.
A strong believer in downtown York’s ongoing transformation and its regional impact, Miller is proud to be a part of Downtown Inc’s efforts to keep the downtown revitalization momentum going.
