FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YORK, PA – Downtown Inc will kick off its 2018 Friends mini-campaign during February’s First Friday, giving everyone who loves Downtown York the opportunity to support future improvements for as little as the price of a monthly coffee.
First launched in 2017 and geared toward individuals, the Friends program offers an affordable way to help Downtown Inc drive, enhance and encourage investment in York’s central business district through economic development, promotions, placemaking and public safety.
Friendship support levels start at $25 for Students, $50 for Friends, $150 for Patrons, $250 for Connoisseurs, $500 for Devotees and $1,000 for Sustainers.
Among many perks, Friends of Downtown Inc receive key insider information, access to members-only pre-sales for Downtown Inc events, such as the sellout Masquerade Ball, behind-the-scenes tours and additional surprises throughout the year. Friends will also see their names on www.DowntownYorkPa.com, and in Downtown Inc’s annual report.
Friends of Downtown Inc may sign up for easy recurring monthly payments, costing as little as the price of a cup of coffee every month.
“Our Friends program allows individuals to collectively harness their giving power and invest in the future of Downtown York,” said Silas Chamberlin, Chief Executive Officer of Downtown Inc. “Building a healthy and vibrant downtown takes the support of an entire community, and we’re lucky to have an engaged group of people and businesses who’ve helped us sustain revitalization efforts big and small. We thank everyone for their continued faith in the work we do.”
This year’s Friends mini-campaign will run February 2-14. Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of Downtown Inc can visit http://www.DowntownYorkPa.com/friends to sign up.
Downtown Inc staff also will be at Isaac’s On The Fly, 58 W. Market St. in York, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday to assist anyone interested in becoming a Friend.
