YORK, PA – Downtown Inc and the York County Economic Alliance on Thursday proudly announced that the YoCo Bloom micro-grant program has expanded in 2019 to offer funds exclusively for Downtown York businesses ready to take the next step in their growth.

A total of $15,000 is available for qualified projects under the new Downtown Bloom grant program.

“This grant program is designed specifically to help our downtown companies address a tangible need that will help them improve productivity, expand their services and broaden their impact. By helping our city’s businesses today, we hope that they will create a better York tomorrow,” said Silas Chamberlin, YCEA Vice President of Economic and Community Development. “When Downtown Inc launched its strategic affiliation with YCEA last fall, we envisioned new opportunities to nurture and support our downtown businesses, and expanding the YoCo Bloom micro-grant program is a natural way to align our missions for the betterment of our city and county.”

The York County Economic Alliance launched its YoCo Bloom Micro-Grant Program in 2018 with the intent that grant awards would act as a stepping stone for businesses to create lasting change in York County. Three businesses – MarshmallowMBA, Studio 117 and Mt. Rose Barberama – were awarded inaugural grant funds.
